Research Scholar

Irene Alexandre Reis, born in the Tocantins State, Brazil, graduated in Animal Science from Centro Universitário Católica of Tocantins. During her studies, she participated in projects aimed at extension providing information about the origin of animal products and projects aimed at sustainable intensification of agricultural systems. In 2020, she began a master’s degree in Animal Science at Universidade Estadual Paulista/FCAV, Brazil. Currently, Irene is studying the Ph.D. in Animal Science at the same university focusing on research in production, nutrition of beef cattle, and meat quality (related to transcriptomic approach). Most recently, she joined the AgNext – Colorado State University team as a Research Scholar.
