Ph.D. Student
Sydney Bowman-Schnug is a Ph.D. student at CSU in the Department of Animal Sciences. Sydney is studying feedlot cattle nutrition and management systems in the AgNext program under Dr. Pedro Carvalho. She grew up on a small commercial cow-calf and hay operation outside of Platteville, Colorado, where her parents allowed her passion for the livestock industry to flourish. Sydney received an Associate degree in Animal Science from Northeastern Junior College before transferring to Kansas State University, where she completed her B.S. in Animal Sciences and Industry. In May of 2024, Sydney received her Master’s in Ruminant Nutrition from Texas Tech University. Away from her studies, Sydney enjoys farming with her family, raising cattle, and spending time with her husband, Bryce, and their dog, Rena.
