Irrigated Cropping Systems Specialist

Sri Pinnamaneni, Ph.D. is the Irrigated Cropping Systems Specialist at Western Colorado Research Center-Grand Valley, Colorado State University. He is focusing on identifying the water use efficient and high digestible corn, sorghum, sorghum-sudan grass and millet species suitable for integrated crop-livestock systems in Western Colorado. Dr. Pinnamaneni also conducts research on different regenerative practices such as reduced till, cover crops and fertilizer use efficiency.  He served as a member of the Canadian biofuelnet (2012-2016) led by McGill University and currently serving as an editorial manager for the Sugar Technology Journal. He was either Principal Investigator or Co- Principal investigator of many research projects funded by Department of Energy, USDA-NIFA, USAID, FAO and European Commission.
