Our Team | Maya Swenson
Doctoral Student
Maya is graduate student for AgNext in the Department of Animal Sciences. She started with AgNext as a research intern whilecompleting the final year of her undergraduate Bachelor’s degree in Animals Sciences. She also received her M.S. in Animal Science with the AgNext team. Maya was born and raised in the Northern California town, Yreka, where she found her passion for agriculture and livestock production. She has a great appreciation for understanding where food comes from and hopes to promote agriculture further through her research of sustainable practices.
